Description
The Richard provides years of trouble-free lighting for indoor or underground car parks. Dust and moisture do not stand a chance with this robust luminaire. The unprecedentedly energy-efficient light line always provides optimal illumination everywhere. The Richard is wide-beamed and provides excellent uniformity on the floor, with a fixture that can even be mounted in the middle of a roadway.
The Richard consists of a special parking profile that facilitates the easy integration of parking systems. Sensors easily guide drivers to available parking spaces. The profile is equipped with 7 + 3 x 2.5 mm² flat cable, and its extra heavy-duty mount makes it resistant to vandalism. The use of aluminium ensures optimal temperature management: Veko LED lighting operates effortlessly in ambient temperatures from -20 ºC to +35 ºC, or even higher. Moreover, Veko offers a 10-year warranty.
In addition to being amongst the most energy-efficient in the world, Veko light lines are also the most sustainable. The lighting is delivered with practically no packaging, it is 100% recyclable and it can easily be refurbished — even after 45 years.

Smart lighting
Get the most out of your lighting with the Veko Tools: Simply clever for you.
-
Safety - Lighting ensures safety. The best-known example is obviously emergency lighting. This makes a safe escape route visible for employees to follow if the normal lighting fails. Connection to a lighting management system also promotes safety in many other ways.
- Health and well-being - Finding and, more importantly, retaining good staff is essential to business operations. Ensuring a pleasant working environment reflects good employment practices. Lighting plays a role in this as well. Providing lighting that is not glare-free and of the right strength ensures that employees will feel comfortable and be more productive.
- Energy saving - Saving energy is part of every sustainability checklist. A light management system makes it easier. In addition to making it easy to measure the consumption of all machines in the distribution centre, a light management system provides a ready-to-use report of the CO2 reduction achieved.
- Service - Fewer worries, less time. Why would you want to spend time maintaining your own service department when it can be outsourced? We would be happy to help you. With a 24/7 service team, we can monitor the lighting and immediately identify any malfunctions, which we can resolve remotely. Business operations are not affected in any way.
- Flexibility - In a rapidly changing society, it is crucial to be flexible. You need to be able to respond to new innovations and implement them within the business environment. A light management system can help in this regard. In addition, the lighting itself is flexible, and different layouts are easily made.
- Easy control - Click and connect is the new normal. Everything is traceable in the app with one click. This enables efficient work and saves time. Failure costs due to lost equipment are a thing of the past — not only for locations in your own country, but for all your properties worldwide.
FAQ
What are the possible applications for Veko lighting?
LED light systems by Veko are applied in manufacturing areas, (high-bay) warehouses, data centres, distribution centres, multi-storey parking garages, sports facilities, swimming pools and shopping malls.
Do the luminaires comply with the BREEAM requirements?
Yes, the Magnus, Duncan, Cador, Joris, Rowan and Richard do.
What are Veko's warranty conditions?
By default, Veko supplies all LED luminaires with a unique replacement warranty of 5 years or 25,000 operational hours. Furthermore, Veko applies a 1-year warranty to batteries of decentralized emergency lighting, and a 2-year warranty to all other products.
In case Veko has installed the lighting, we will check it between 200 operational hours and 1 year after delivery once and repair any defects. A detailed description of the warranty terms of Veko Lightsystems International can be found in article 17 of our general terms and conditions. For local sales within the UK, article 15 of the general terms and conditions of Veko Lightsystems Ltd is applicable.
In some cases, we can even provide 10 years warranty on LED fixtures. More information about this can be provided upon request. The full guarantee plan can be obtained from Veko.
How can I get advice on my lighting system?
Our account managers are happy to visit you for a consultation. Please contact us for an appointment.
How do I know which fixture to select?
It depends on the space you want to light and also what kind of activities are taking place in the space. This is why it is important to get proper advice. Our Account Managers will be happy to do just that. Feel free to contact us.
Why choose LED?
Although the initial cost of conventional light sources is lower than that of LEDs, the operational costs of LEDs are significantly lower. LEDs have a longer lifespan and lower maintenance and replacement costs. Since LEDs need to be replaced less often, the owner spends less money on new lamps and labour costs needed to replace them. Furthermore, LEDs consume less energy. As a result, the total cost of a LED system can be significantly lower than that of conventional lighting systems.
What is the payback time with LED lighting?
Most lighting applications with LED are paid back in only three to four years. LED Light systems by Veko are generally paid back in one to five years.
Is LED lighting dimmable?
The driver is the determining factor of how dimmable a lamp or luminaire is, and in what way this should be done. For example, drivers can work with DALI, 0-10V or TRIAC (phase cut). Whenever it is possible to dim LED lights, this is always preferable. If the LED can be dimmed by 30%, it can increase savings by 30%, as well as extend the lifespan of the light. Dimming can be done manually, for example, with integrated dimmers, or automatically with a system such as DALI. A DALI system automatically adjusts the dim level of illumination based on the amount of daylight in a room. This is done by placing a sensor with a control device in the room. This additional cost is usually returned within a very short time based on energy savings.
