Description
Emergency lighting ensures efficiency and safety. Veko offers a dual-integration solution for emergency lighting within the entire lighting system, in which the support profile provides space for additional flat cables, each of which can accommodate two light groups.
Central emergency lighting:
Recurring maintenance constitutes the greatest cost related to emergency lighting, as the batteries must be replaced every four years. If the batteries are located in the light line just below the roof, replacing them is labour-intensive. In addition, the life of the batteries is shortened by temperature fluctuations under the roof. With a central battery station, the battery is located on the ground floor, easily accessible and in a controlled environment. This increases the average lifespan of a battery to nine years. The emergency luminaires are tested automatically. The online system further allows malfunctions to be reported automatically. Maintenance is performed only when necessary, as facility managers receive an email stating the exact location of any faulty safety fixture. Just imagine how much money, time and effort this could save.
Decentralised emergency lighting:
The luminaires remain fully lit in the event of a power failure, due to the battery and switching module that is integrated into the fixture. In case of power failure, the luminaire burns with a lower lumen current and has a very high lumen output, thus requiring fewer fixtures to be used for emergency lighting.
Veko’s emergency lighting offers reliable, cost-efficient solutions that are perfect for any situation in which safety is paramount.

-
Safety - Lighting ensures safety. The best-known example is obviously emergency lighting. This makes a safe escape route visible for employees to follow if the normal lighting fails. Connection to a lighting management system also promotes safety in many other ways.
- Health and well-being - Finding and, more importantly, retaining good staff is essential to business operations. Ensuring a pleasant working environment reflects good employment practices. Lighting plays a role in this as well. Providing lighting that is not glare-free and of the right strength ensures that employees will feel comfortable and be more productive.
- Energy saving - Saving energy is part of every sustainability checklist. A light management system makes it easier. In addition to making it easy to measure the consumption of all machines in the distribution centre, a light management system provides a ready-to-use report of the CO2 reduction achieved.
- Service - Fewer worries, less time. Why would you want to spend time maintaining your own service department when it can be outsourced? We would be happy to help you. With a 24/7 service team, we can monitor the lighting and immediately identify any malfunctions, which we can resolve remotely. Business operations are not affected in any way.
- Flexibility - In a rapidly changing society, it is crucial to be flexible. You need to be able to respond to new innovations and implement them within the business environment. A light management system can help in this regard. In addition, the lighting itself is flexible, and different layouts are easily made.
- Easy control - Click and connect is the new normal. Everything is traceable in the app with one click. This enables efficient work and saves time. Failure costs due to lost equipment are a thing of the past — not only for locations in your own country, but for all your properties worldwide.
