Renovation Dutch National Opera & Ballet Production Workshop

In the striking red building of the Dutch National Opera & Ballet, the most extraordinary sets and large props are built. This work requires the utmost precision and demands a high-quality lighting system. A test setup convinced the artists that linear lighting by Veko meets these high standards. The existing Veko light lines were renovated, with the light lines themselves remaining in place and only the luminaires (962 units) being replaced. In addition, Veko dismantled 352 fluorescent fixtures and replaced them with a light line solution. The lines are equipped with a 10%–100% control, so that the lighting does not stay on unnecessarily. The Production Workshop has a huge number of different spaces of various heights and applications — from a carpentry workshop to costume storage. Good lighting advice was essential, and Veko delivered.
