Smart business premises
Bakkerij Holland has been baking ‘our daily bread’ since 1937. Beginning as a small traditional bakery, its business premises have grown to 17,000 m2. From its two production locations, Bakkerij Holland supplies supermarkets with all kinds of bread, including fresh bread, as well as frozen and non-perishable products. Its hourly production numbers are impressive: 4,200 loaves of bread, 14,000 croissants, 18,000 pistolet rolls and 8,000 baguettes.
The extension of the building in Vriezenveen has been rated as Excellent (four stars) according to the BREEAM standard. The factory has a smart lighting system consisting of 1,315 Magnus luminaires and 4,730 m of light line.
Some of the fixtures in the Bakkerij Holland factory are IP65 (waterproof) for hygiene reasons. The LED lighting is equipped with Constant Light Output (CLO) so that it will provide the same amount of light throughout its lifespan. The daylight control ensures that the light (number of lux) will automatically adjust to the intensity of the daylight. Bakkerij Holland has also opted for the Encelium light management system. In addition to allowing easy monitoring of energy consumption, this lighting system can be maintained at the touch of a button. The light management system could also be easily scaled up should Bakkerij Holland expand further.
